Charles breaks scoring, rebound marks

UConn is chasing its own win streak. Tina Charles is chasing … nobody.

As the Huskies won their 69th consecutive game Monday, one win shy of the all-time winning streak, Charles broke the career scoring and rebounding records at UConn. The senior scored 18 points to pass Kerry Bascom and record-holder Nykesha Sales, whose career mark had stood for 12 years. Charles' eight boards also surpassed Rebecca Lobo's 15-year career record.
