Wow! How about those Pats? They were pretty good. They stayed poised, kept their composure and pulled out a great win, probably the greatest in my 22 years of Super Bowl watching.
The team went up to Jess Moore's, Ashley Battle's, Ashley (my sis), and Diana Taurasi's apartment to watch the game. It was a lot of fun and we had a good time.
Let me tell you, the 13 of us can really eat. We had five large pizzas -- gone -- about 80 wings of assorted flavors -- gone -- and seven liters of soda and Gatorade.
Oh, and how about that halftime show? We knew everyone was going to make a big thing about the Janet Jackson thing right after it happened, but let's be honest. She has been nowhere for the last five or six years, she has a new album coming out, and she just got a ton of free publicity for showing herself off for no longer then three seconds. She will have more written about those three seconds than most NFL players get written on in their careers. Oh well, it just goes to show you what the media can do for you.
After the game, I went over to the 24-hour corner store, ironically called Store24, and bought eight pints of ice cream for eight people. And most of it was gone by the time we left about a half-hour later.
It's times like these that I will remember about college. The hanging out with my teammates, chilling, eating pizza and talking about how good looking Tom Brady and Ty Law are.
These are the days I will truly never forget. The wins and the championships will always be remembered, but the times the 13 of us spent hanging out will always be remembered every time I see or talk to a teammate. Thanks for those days, I love you cats!
Until next time, peace.
