Brackett, Stevenson lead Tigers to 84-49 win

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- Natasha Brackett had 19 points and Mandisa
Stevenson 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead Auburn (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today; No. 22 Associated Press) to an
84-49 victory Saturday night over Old Dominion in the consolation
game of the WBCA Classic.

Louise Emeagi added 11 points, and Taneshia Thompson and Marita
Payne had 10 each for Auburn (1-1).

Shareese Grant led Old Dominion (0-2) with 16 points. The
Monarchs shot 30 percent and had 22 turnovers for the game.

Old Dominion missed its first seven shots and hit a dismal 21
percent in the first half. Auburn capitalized with a 17-5 run,
building a 27-10 lead.

The Tigers closed the half with 13-0 run, including six points
from Brackett, and led 50-16 at the break.

Old Dominion was more competitive in the second half, with
Monique Coker scoring six points in a 21-8 surge that closed
Auburn's lead to 58-37. But Brackett hit a 3-pointer and scored
five points as Auburn responded with a 12-0 run.
