MANHATTAN, Kansas (Ticker) -- Kendra Wecker and Nicole Ohlde
both recorded a double-double to help No. 8 Kansas State beat
Northern Illinois, 60-41.
Wecker finished 8-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-3 from
behind the 3-point line, for 20 points. The forward also ripped
down 11 rebounds and handed out four assists.
Ohlde had 10 points and 12 rebounds, including six off the
offensive glass, for the Wildcats (3-2), who topped the Huskies
on the boards by a 47-26 margin. The center also had five
assists and a pair of blocks.
Laurie Koehn knocked down five 3-point baskets on 14 attempts
and finished with 15 points for Kansas State, which won its 21st
straight home game despite committing 22 turnovers.
Lindsay Secrest netted eight points and Kristin Wiener added
seven for Northern Illinois (2-2), which was held without a
point for nearly eight minutes to start the second half.
