Baylor 79, SE Louisiana 46


WACO, Texas (AP) -- Sophia Young, Emily Niemann and Steffanie
Blackmon combined for 46 points Monday night to lead Baylor to a
79-46 victory over Southeastern Louisiana.

Young scored 18 points. Niemann had 16, including four
3-pointers and Blackmon scored 12 points and had eight rebounds.
Niemann also had three blocked shots.

The Lady Bears (7-1) opened the game with a 15-0 run over the
first 6:30 and took a 39-18 lead into halftime. Southeastern missed
its first 10 shots. Baylor repeated itself to start the second
half, this time with a 17-1 run over the first eight minutes. The
Lady Bears led by as much as 37 points.

LaSha Stover led Southeastern Louisiana (2-2) with 12 points.

Baylor held the Lady Lions to 26 percent shooting from the
field, but also shot its lowest percentage of the season with 41
percent from the field for the game.

Baylor forced 29 turnovers, scoring 35 points off the turnovers.
