Arizona wins 19th straight at home

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Shawntinice Polk had 19 points and 15
rebounds, and Arizona extended its home winning streak to 19 by beating Washington (No. 24 ESPN/USA Today) 89-74 Saturday.

The Wildcats (9-2, 1-0 Pac-10) are tied with Purdue and Western
Illinois for the seventh-longest active winning streak at home.

The double-double was the third of the season and 24th career
for Polk, a sophomore.

Dee Dee Wheeler also had 19 points, while Aimee Grzyb and
Natalie Jones had 17 each.

Giuliana Mendiola led Washington (7-3, 0-1) with 27 points,
scoring 14 of the Huskies' first 20.

Arizona scored the final four points of the first half and five
straight after intermission to take a 46-29 lead that proved
insurmountable. Grzyb extended the lead to 73-46 with a 3-pointer
several minutes later.

Washington made a 20-7 run to close to within 80-66 with 4:07
remaining, but another outside jumper by Grzyb ended the comeback
