FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- Sancho Lyttle had 34 points and 11 rebounds, and Chandi Jones added 25 points to help Houston (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP) beat Cincinnati 84-67 Friday in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA women's tournament.

Valerie King led Cincinnati (15-15) with 25 points, hitting 7 of 12 3-point attempts. She broke the Conference USA record for 3-pointers made, finishing with 335 in her career.

Cincinnati kept it close until Houston put the game away with a 21-10 run midway through the second half. Lyttle scored 11 points during the run to put Houston up 69-55.

A 3-pointer by King and back-to-back layups by Treasure Humphries had pulled Cincinnati to within 48-45 before the run.

The Bearcats also kept it close in the first half.

King hit a 3-pointer as she was fouled and added a free throw to cut the lead to 33-31 with 1:40 left in the half. But Houston, which led by as many as 13 in the half, scored the final seven points to lead 40-31 at halftime.

Houston faces Marquette, a 74-70 winner Friday over No. 24 DePaul, in the semifinals Saturday.
