Doron leads Terps with 21 points

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Shay Doron scored 21 points to lead No. 24 Maryland past Siena 73-52 on Sunday.

The Saints (0-1) closed to nine points in the first half, but Doron made three free throws to give Maryland a 35-23 lead at the break.

Early in the second half, the Saints cut the Maryland lead to 47-40 on Michelle Blot's 3-pointer, but the Terps responded with a 17-5 run.

Kalika France finished with 15 points and seven rebounds for the Terps (2-0). Laura Harper posted her first career double-double, with 12 points and 14 boards. Doron had career-highs of seven assists and five steals.
