Pluimer, Quinn lead Bruins

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) -- Lindsey Pluimer scored 22 points and
Noelle Quinn added 20 to lead UCLA (No. 25 AP) over Pepperdine 74-61
Thursday night.

Pluimer had 13 points in the second half, when the Bruins (4-1)
built on a 29-27 lead they held at the break.

UCLA shot only 29 percent in the first half, but made 17 of 30
shots after the break. The Bruins also kept the Waves (1-5)
scoreless for four minutes in the second half and extended their
lead to 58-39 in that span.

The Bruins also got 14 points from Lisa Willis.

The Waves were led by Lauren Wenski with 16 points and Jennifer
Lacy with 15.
