Wecker returns after ankle injury

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Kendra Wecker scored 25 points to lead No.
22 Kansas State past Villanova 75-63 on Tuesday.

Wecker, who missed the last three games with a sprained left
ankle, added 12 rebounds and five assists. Laurie Koehn contributed
16 points and Claire Coggins 14 while Megan Mahoney also had 12

Liad Suez led Villanova with 24 points and Kate Dessart Mager
added 12.

Kansas State (7-2) led 42-27 at halftime and pushed its lead to
52-31 with 13:51 remaining as Villanova shot just 1-for-10 during
the stretch.

Villanova (6-4) managed an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 65-58 with
3:16 left on a three-point play by Dessart Mager. But Kansas State
responded with back-to-back baskets by Wecker and Mahoney.
