Sacramento State scores just 17 in second half

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Cisti Greenwalt scored 19 points and Texas Tech (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today; No. 13 AP) raced to an 83-37 victory against Sacramento State on Tuesday night.

The Lady Raiders (8-2) limited the Hornets to 17 points in the second half, including three baskets in the final 7:41.

Chesley Dabbs added 15 points for Texas Tech. Judith Smith had 12, while LaToya Davis finished with 10.

Tyeisha Brown led Sacramento State (3-6) with eight points.

Tech grabbed control of the game midway through the first half with 10 unanswered points that turned an 8-5 cushion into an 18-5 advantage. The Lady Raiders scored three baskets in 10 seconds with two inside shots from Greenwalt and a layup by Alesha Robertson.

Greenwalt's basket off a pass from Smith just before the buzzer gave Tech a 45-20 lead at intermission.

Tech turned the ball over on its first four possessions of the second half, but the Lady Raiders quickly recovered with a 17-3 run -- capped by Smith's two free throws at the 13:33 mark -- for a 62-23 lead.
