    Sun Devils ended first half with 12-0 run

    TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Kristen Kovesdy scored 18 points and Emily Westerberg added 13 as No. 23 Arizona State beat No. 25 Arizona 69-47 on Monday night, ending the Wildcats' four-game winning streak.

    The Sun Devils (10-3, 2-1 Pac-10) scored 34 points off 28 Arizona turnovers and had 38 points from inside the lane to their archrival's 16.

    Arizona (10-3, 2-1) played without all-conference center Shawntinice Polk for the second straight game as she recovers from a knee injury.

    Dee Dee Wheeler scored 26 points to lead the Wildcats, who had won eight of their last nine.

    Arizona State, which has now won nine of its last 11 games, finished the first half on a 12-0 run over the final 4:49 to take a 37-20 lead.

    The Sun Devils then ran off eight more points early in the second half and later led by as much as 30.

    Arizona State outrebounded Arizona 37-27 and the Wildcats missed 13-of-19 free-throw attempts.
