Mississippi's six-game streak snapped

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Cori Chambers made two 3-pointers during a
12-2 run and Georgia (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today; No. 17 AP) overcame a slow start by scoring leader
Tasha Humphrey in a 78-51 victory over Mississippi on Thursday

Georgia (12-3, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) won its seventh
straight game and ended Ole Miss' six-game winning streak.

Humphrey, who was 0-for-1 from the field and scored one point in
the first half, had 18 points and 11 rebounds, seven of them on the
offensive end.

Chambers scored 11 of her 16 points in the first half, and
contained Ole Miss' top scorer, Armintie Price, who wound up with
12 points.

Amber Watts led Mississippi (10-4, 0-1) with 25 points on
11-of-18 shooting.
