Arizona 80, California 69

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Dee-Dee Wheeler had 19 points and eight
assists as Arizona rode a lopsided first half to an 80-69 win over
California here Friday night.

Shannon Hobson added 11 points and Shawntinice Polk 10 for the
Wildcats (11-3, 3-1 Pac-10), who extended their homecourt winning
streak to 34 games.

It was Polk's first game back after missing the last two with a
knee injury but she played just 10 minutes.

California (8-6, 2-3) was paced by Jessica Lawson's 19 points
while Khadijah Coakley added 15.

Arizona shot only 42 percent from the field in the first half
but the Golden Bears made just 32 percent of their field goals (8
of 25) as the Wildcats took a 34-22 lead.

California never got closer than nine points in the second half.
