HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Sandora Irvin had 26 points to led TCU
to an 81-43 rout of Southern Miss on Friday night in the Conference
USA opener for both teams.
TCU (10-5, 1-0 C-USA) opened the game with an 11-0 run, until a
two-point jumper by Southern Miss' Dianca Jones made it 11-2.
TCU later put together an 18-1 run to take a 36-19 halftime
lead.
Southern Miss (5-8 0-1) cut the lead to 17 points early in the
second half but TCU used a 20-6 run to put the game out of reach.
Jones led Southern Miss with 19 points, while Deondra Carter
added 10 and a team-high five rebounds.
Natasha Lacy added 13 for TCU and JimAnne Baker and Vanessa
Clementino each had 10 points.
