San Jose State 54, Hawaii 49 (OT)

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Hawaii opened its first road trip of the
season Saturday night with a 54-49 overtime loss to San Jose State.

The score was tied at 43 at the end of regulation before the
Spartans outscored the Rainbow Wahine 11-6 in the overtime period.

Jade Abele and Alofa Toiaivao had 12 points apiece as Hawaii
fell to 5-5 overall and 1-2 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Teammate Janevia Taylor added 11 points and grabbed a game-high 15

Amber Jackson led San Jose State (9-4, 2-1) with 23 points and
12 rebounds.

The Rainbow Wahine continue their road trip Thursday at Southern
Methodist before meeting Louisiana Tech next Saturday.
