    Colorado State 65, Montana 53

    MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- Melissa Dennett had 21 points and 10 rebounds Saturday to lead Colorado State to a 65-53 victory over Montana, which couldn't overcome a miserable first half of shooting.

    Montana (7-6) made just 4-of-25 shot attempts in the first half and Colorado State built a 41-17 lead.

    Colorado State (9-4) led 15-10 with 13:50 remaining, but Montana missed its next eight field goals and had four turnovers as CSU built a 28-10 lead on a layup by Dennett with 8:22 remaining. The Lady Griz were playing without point guard Lynsey Monaco, who is out with a bruised thigh.

    Montana got its final basket of the half on a layup by Hollie Tyler with 4:37 remaining, but the Lady Griz still trailed 32-17. Dennett had 17 points in the first half.

    Colorado State built a 50-27 lead on a 3-pointer by Vanessa Espinoza with 15:23 remaining and Montana could get no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.

    Espinoza finished with 16 points and Lindsay Thomas added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Colorado State.

    Hollie Tyler led Montana with 12 points while Katie Edwards had 11.
