DALLAS (AP) -- Jade Abele scored 20 points and grabbed 13
rebounds to lead Hawaii in a 70-63 victory over Southern Methodist
in Western Athletic Conference action Thursday night.
Alofa Toiaivao also recorded a double-double with 13 points and
10 rebounds while Amy Sanders added 16 points for the Rainbow
Wahine (6-5, 2-2).
Janielle Dodds led the Mustangs (12-3, 3-2) with 16 points,
while Kendall Shead contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds. Katy
Cobb was the only other SMU player in double figures with 10
points.
SMU took a 39-31 halftime lead behind 42 percent shooting from
the field, but was undone 27 percent shooting in the second half.
