COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- A'Quonesia Franklin hit the
game-winning jumper with 1.8 seconds left as Texas A&M beat Kansas
62-60 Saturday night.
Franklin hit an 18-footer jumper that broke a 60-all tie and
gave Texas A&M (11-3, 2-2 Big 12) its second straight conference
Taylor McIntosh had a layup for Kansas (7-8, 0-4), and Aquanita
Burras followed with a short jumper as the Jayhawks tied the score
at 60 with 15 seconds left.
After Franklin's jumper, Kansas could not get a shot off before
Ashley Bolden scored 11 points for the Aggies.
Burras had 24 points for the Jayhawks, and Erica Hallman added
10 points and eight rebounds.
Texas A&M led 37-26 at halftime and extended its lead to 46-30
early in the second half.
The Aggies still led 57-46 with 4:04 left, but the Jayhawks cut
the lead to two after a 10-1 run over the next 1:41.
