TUCSON (AP) -- Arizona's Dee-Dee Wheeler scored a game-high 23 points, including many when the Ducks were gaining momentum, in a 69-60 victory over Oregon on Thursday.

Wheeler's three-pointer with nearly 11 minutes remaining gave Arizona (13-5, 5-3) a 54-44 lead. A driving lay-in immediately afterward by Ashley Whisonant put the Wildcats ahead by 12, their biggest lead of the game.

Oregon (12-5, 5-3) got within seven with 2:40 left, but a pair of free throws by Natalie Jones and a steal and free throw by Wheeler secured Arizona's victory.

The Wildcats also received 10 points from Jessica Arnold and seven from Shawntinice Polk, who earned 1,299 career points during the game to become the school's fifth all-time leading scorer.

Gabrielle Richards came off the bench to lead Oregon with 15. Kristen Forristall added 10.

The Wildcats, trailing 26-23 with 7:22 left in the first half, started to take control by going on a 14-4 run. A Wheeler lay-in and then a short jumper in the middle of the spurt gave Arizona a 35-30 lead.

Oregon opened the second half scoring back-to-back buckets to close the gap to 39-36 but Arizona responded with a seven point surge.
