FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Kristin Peoples scored 12 points,
including a 3-pointer with less than three minutes left in the game
to lead Arkansas to a 61-49 win over South Carolina on Sunday.
Sarah Pfeifer had ten points for Arkansas (12-6, 2-5
Southeastern Conference). The Razorbacks led by 13 at the half with
a 35-22 score at the break. South Carolina (6-13, 0-5 SEC) made a
run in the second, outscoring Arkansas 27-26 in the half, but it
wasn't enough to overcome the Gamecocks' first period deficit.
Illona Burgova led South Carolina with 14 points. Stacy Booker
had 13 rebounds. Arkansas shot 60 percent from the floor for the
game. South Carolina shot 40.7 percent. The Gamecocks committed 22
turnovers, allowing Arkansas to score 20 points. Arkansas had 15
turnovers that gave South Carolina 17 points.
