    EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Brandi Davis came off the bench to score a game high 28 points and Corrie Mizusawa added 11 as Oregon defeated UCLA 78-71 on Thursday.

    Lisa Willis led the Bruins with 24 points and six rebounds, while Amanda Livingston and Nikki Blue scored 15 each.

    Oregon (13-6, 6-4 Pac-10) used a 15-2 run midway through the second half to build a 58-48 lead. Davis had two 3-pointers, a steal and a lay-up during in the spurt as the Ducks took the lead for good.

    The Bruins (12-7, 6-4) cut the advantage to 70-66 with three minutes remaining, but the Ducks held on despite missing six of 14 free throws in the final minutes.

    The Ducks dominated the Bruins on the boards, outrebounding them 50-30. UCLA, however, collected 11 steals to keep the game close.

    Oregon trailed by as many as nine in the first half before taking a 33-31 lead into the break. ^
