BOZEMAN (AP) -- Kati Burrows had career highs with 36 points and
15 rebounds Saturday to lead Montana State to a 75-57 victory over
Portland State, the Bobcats' first Big Sky Conference win.
Burrows scored 21 points in the first half, including a
three-point play with 8:01 remaining that gave the Bobcats (7-11,
1-4 Big Sky) a 28-14 lead. MSU led 41-27 at halftime.
Montana State shot 50 percent from the field to 33 percent for
PSU (2-15, 0-5) and outrebounded the Vikings 41-36.
Alyssa Nelson added 12 points and six assists for the Bobcats,
including back-to-back baskets -- the second with 8:26 remaining --
after Portland State had pulled within 53-48. MSU maintained at
least a nine-point lead for the rest of the game.
Hillary Scott added nine points and eight assists for the
Delaney Conway, Heather Arns and Audrey Grant each at 11 points
for Portland State.
