TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Megan Moody hit five 3-point shots on the
way to scoring 26 points to lead Tulsa over Hawaii 83-64 Saturday.
Each team shot 41 percent from the field, but Tulsa took 73
shots, compared with Hawaii's 61.
The Golden Hurricane (14-5, 6-3 Western Athletic Conference)
used a 16-4 run to help take a 33-24 halftime lead, and then
outscored the Rainbow Wahine 50-40 in the second half.
Amy Sanders led Hawaii (8-8, 4-5) with 18 points, while Jade
Abele added 12. Sanders and Brittany Grice led the Rainbow Wahine
with seven rebounds apiece.
Kara Pongonis had 14 points and Emily Jaskowiak had 13 for
Tulsa. LeAnn Upshaw had a game-high 10 rebounds for the Golden
Hawaii opened its road trip Thursday with a loss to Rice. The
Rainbow Wahine return home to host San Jose State next Saturday.
