NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Abi Ramsey hit a school-record eight 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 30 points as Vanderbilt (No. 21 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) defeated Florida 84-73 on Sunday.
Vanderbilt (15-5, 4-3 Southeastern Conference) led 20-12 six minutes into the game on a short jumper by Ashley Earley, but Florida rallied and led 42-40 before Ramsey's buzzer-beating 3 gave her team a one-point lead at halftime.
In the second period, Florida (12-8, 3-4) broke away from a 51-51 tie with eight straight points -- four by backup guard Sarah Lowe.
The Commodores answered with a 17-2 run, keyed by four Ramsey treys, and took a 68-61 lead with 7:19 to play on a Katie Antony steal and breakaway at the other end.
A pair of Dee Davis free throws with 1:20 left gave Vanderbilt a 77-66 lead.
Carla Thomas finished with 14 points and Earley 13 for Vanderbilt. Bernice Mosby scored 15 to lead Florida, with Tishona Gregory adding 14 and Tamia Williams 10.
Vanderbilt's 13 3-pointers marked the fourth-best team performance in school history and was two short of the single-game record.
