Cowgirls have lost eight of their last nine

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Laurie Koehn scored 13 points and No. 15 Kansas State beat Oklahoma State 66-55 on Saturday.

Kendra Wecker added 11 points and 11 rebounds for her 45th career double-double. Brie Madden scored 10 points and Megan Mahoney had 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Kansas State (17-4, 8-2 Big 12) got on track late in the game, closing with a 16-6 run over the final 6:08.

After Oklahoma State (6-13, 1-8) closed to 53-51 with 4:23 left on a bucket by Destanie Sykes, Koehn hit a turnaround jump shot and Shana Wheeler made two nifty post moves in a span of just over a minute to pull away.

Nina Stone scored 17 points to lead the Cowgirls, who have lost eight of their last nine. Sykes finished with a career-high 13 points.

Kansas State coach Deb Patterson experimented with several different lineups throughout the game, which prevented the Wildcats from getting into an offensive rhythm. The result was Oklahoma State leading 37-34 with just over 16 minutes remaining and a tie game with 7:25 to go.

Wecker, who leads the Big 12 with 20.7 points a game, shot just 3-for-16 from the field and had one point at halftime.
