LOS ANGELES (AP) -- UCLA beat Washington State 68-63 Sunday,
outscoring the Cougars 10-5 in the final 3:24.
The Bruins (15-7, 9-4) had their fourth victory in five games.
Washington State dropped to 5-17, 1-12.
UCLA was plagued by turnovers and poor shooting in the first
half. Washington State managed an 11-3 run and held its biggest
lead, 33-27, in the final two minutes.
UCLA came back in the second half, outscoring the Cougars 11-2
in the first 4½ minutes. Still, the teams tied six times in the
second half before the Bruins went on their final run.
UCLA junior guard Nikki Blue led all players with 22 points. She
added seven assists, six steals and five rebounds in 40 minutes of
Junior guard Lisa Willis had her third double-double of the
season, scoring 16 points with 10 rebounds, six steals and four
assists. Amanda Livingston added 11 points.
Washington State was led by Adriane Ferguson with 19 points and
also had nine rebounds. Ariana Scales had 18 points, 13 of them in
the second half.
