Josephson leads Badgers with 29 points

IOWA CITY, Iowa (SportsTicker) -- Ashley Josephson came off the bench to score a career-high 29 points and lead Wisconsin to a surprising 88-78 Big Ten Conference victory over No. 25 Iowa.

A junior guard, Josephson made 11-of-16 shots, including 5-of-6 3-pointers, as she shattered her previous high of 20 set last season against Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne. She helped the Badgers to a 44-18 advantage in bench points.

Jolene Anderson scored 17 points and Stephanie Rich and Kjersten Bakke added nine apiece for Wisconsin (9-11, 3-7 Big Ten), which won on the road for just the second time this season.

Wisconsin shot 52 percent (33-of-64) while holding Iowa to 39 percent (25-of-64).

Crystal Smith scored 20 points and backcourt mate Jenna Armstrong added 13 for the Lady Hawkeyes (15-6, 4-6), which lost twice this week after entering the rankings.
