HONOLULU (AP) -- With eight seconds left in overtime, Amy Sanders scored the game-winning shot to lead the Hawaii women's basketball team to a 79-78 victory over Louisiana Tech on Thursday.

It was one of the biggest wins in program history, the school said.

Tasha Crain scored a game-high 36 points for the Lady Techsters. Crain's shot with two seconds left in regulation sent the game in overtime.

Sanders scored a career-high 27 points. She and Jade Abele grabbed 10 rebounds apiece for the Rainbow Wahine.

The lead changed hands three times in the last 33 seconds with the final lead change coming on Sander's 15-foot jumper from the left wing with eight seconds left.

Hawaii entered the game 0-14 all-time against the Lady Techsters including nine straight losses as a conference foe.

Hawaii is 9-9 overall and 5-6 in the Western Athletic Conference. Louisiana Tech is 14-6 and 10-2.
