Oregon 66, Arizona State 59

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Brandi Davis and Andrea Bills combined for
30 points to lead Oregon to a 66-59 Pac-10 conference victory over
Arizona State Thursday.

The Ducks (17-7, 10-5) led the entire second half, but it took
10 free throws in the final minute to put the Sun Devils (17-8,
9-6) away.

Oregon built a 27-22 halftime lead into a 56-46 advantage with
two minutes to play before Arizona State made a final run.

The Sun Devils slowed the game down with eight fouls during the
last 1:21, and Emily Westerberg hit a 3-point shot to cut the lead
to 63-59.

The Ducks made three free throws down the stretch and the Sun
Devils missed their final three shots.

Amy Denson led Arizona State with 16 points and 10 rebounds and
Westerberg scored 12.

Catherine Kraayeveld scored 11 for Oregon, including nine in the
second half.

The Ducks trailed in the first half before Corrie Mizusawa drove
for a lay-up to start a 10-0 Oregon run over the final six minutes
of the period.

The teams entered the game in a three-way tie for third place in
the conference.
