EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Brandi Davis scored 19 and Catherine
Kraayeveld scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Oregon
defeated Arizona 69-51 in Pac-10 conference basketball Saturday.
The Ducks (17-7, 11-5) move into second place in the conference
with the victory, while the Wildcats (18-9, 10-6) fell to fourth.
Oregon entered the second half up 33-23, and built a 48-33 lead
before Arizona used an eight point run to make 48-41 with 11
minutes to play.
Kraayeveld then hit a 3-pointer to ignite a 14-4 run and the
Wildcats never threatened again.
Dee-Dee Wheeler led all scorers with 20 points for Arizona and
Danielle Adefeso added 10 for the Wildcats, but Oregon won the
rebound battle 44-37, and hit 11 3-point shots to command the game.
Arizona led most of the first half, taking a 16-12 lead before
the Ducks outscored them 21-7 during the final 10 minutes of the
Andrea Bills scored 10 points and added 10 rebounds in the final
regular season home game for herself, Kraayeveld and Corrie
Oregon's win snapped a three-game winning streak for Arizona,
and gave the Ducks a perfect 9-0 conference record at home.
