NEW YORK (AP) -- Kathrin Ress shot 9-for-15 from the field and scored 22 points to lead No. 22 Boston College to a 64-55 victory over St. John's on Tuesday night in the final regular-season game for both teams.

Sarah Marshall and Aja Parham each added 10 points for the Eagles (19-8, 10-6 Big East), who held a 30-29 lead at the half and went on to win for the fourth time in six games.

Kia Wright scored 19 points to lead the Red Storm (18-9, 7-9), who won at Boston College earlier this season. Greeba Barlow added 10 points.

St. John's, under third-year coach Kim Barnes Arico, finished with its best record in 17 seasons.

After Wright's 3-pointer got the Red Storm within 10-9 at 13:10 of the first half, Ress hit consecutive jump shots in a 6-0 run, pushing the Eagles' lead to 16-9 at the 11:10 mark.

Wright's 3-pointer closed out an 11-1 run that gave St. John's a 20-17 advantage with 8:30 remaining in the half.

There were six lead changes before the Eagles took a 28-27 lead on Marshall's jumper with 2:37 remaining.

Kati Kurtosi of St. John's hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 34-all at 17:34 of the second half, but Kindyll Dorsey made two 3-pointers that sparked a 12-0 run, giving Boston College its biggest lead of the game at 46-34 with 13:50.

Angela Clark's jumper with 1:47 pulled St. John within 61-53, but the Red Storm got no closer.
