MISSOULA (AP) -- Hollie Tyler had 21 points and seven rebounds
Thursday to lead Montana to a 70-52 victory over Idaho State,
clinching at least a share of the Big Sky Conference title.
Idaho State (11-15, 6-7 league) took an 8-7 lead on a basket by
Christa Brossman with 15:19 remaining, before Montana (19-7, 12-1)
responded with a 14-2 run to take a 22-10 lead on a free throw by
Tyler with 7:07 left in the half.
Idaho State never got closer than nine points the rest of the
Katie Edwards added 10 points for Montana, which led 32-21 at
Montana opened the second half with an 11-0 run to take a 43-21
lead, the first of three times they led by as many as 22 points.
The Lady Griz took a 60-38 lead on jumper by Johanna Closson with
Natalie Doma led ISU with 18 points while Molly Hays had 12
points and 11 rebounds and Stevi Seitz finished with 10.
Montana shot 58 percent from the field to 27 percent for ISU.
The Lady Griz have won at least a share of 19 league titles. They
can clinch the championship outright for the second straight year
if they beat Weber State on Saturday night.
