DAYTON, Ohio (Ticker) -- Abby Scharlow and Tiffany Mor helped
Wisconsin-Green Bay (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, Not ranked AP) into the Horizon League finals.
Scharlow scored 24 points and Mor added 18 and a career-high 14
rebounds as the Phoenix earned a berth in the league finals with
a 72-59 victory against Illinois-Chicago.
On the strength of 8-of-17 shooting, including 3-of-6 from
3-point range, Scharlow came within five points of her career
high. She also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out five assists
and recorded five steals.
Mor, the Horizon League's Player of the Year, also blocked four
shots and recorded three steals as Wisconsin-Green Bay (26-3)
improved to 10-0 in league semifinal games. The school will face
either Wright State or Detroit in Monday's final.
Nicole Soulis scored 11 points for the Phoenix, who improved to
43-4 in the all-time series against Illinois-Chicago.
Dejeanette Flournoy had a double-double of 18 points and 18
rebounds for the Flames (14-15), who owned a 20-6 advantage in
second-chance points but lost to the Phoenix for the 13th
