No. 18 DePaul has little trouble handling Harvard

CHICAGO (AP) -- Jenna Rubino scored 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting
to lead No. 18 DePaul to a 97-52 victory over Harvard in the season
opener for both teams Friday night.

Rubino shot 3-for-4 from 3-point range for the Blue Demons, who
had five players score in double figures. Ciara Johnson finished
with 14 points, Caprice Smith added 11 and Jarietta Benton 10.
Khara Smith had 12 points and six rebounds.

DePaul opened the game with a 16-0 run, and Harvard managed only
two field goals in the first 14 minutes.

Maureen McCaffery had three 3-points and finished with 11
points. But the Crimson made only six field goals in the first half
and faced a 47-18 halftime deficit.

Jessica Holsey added eight points and four rebounds in the loss.
