    Grant leads No. 13 Texas Tech to season's first win

    LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Erin Grant scored 23 points to lead Texas Tech to an 85-56 win over Southeast Missouri State on Friday night.

    Tech (1-1) led by as many as 29 points after taking a 13-point lead into the second half.

    Southeast Missouri State (0-1) got into foul trouble early, putting Tech in the double-bonus with over six minutes to still play in the first half.

    Alesha Robertson scored 17 points, hitting the only 3-point field goal for Tech. LaToya Davis scored 14 points and had eight rebounds.

    The Redhawks managed to close within six points in the first half. Tech carried the momentum over from the first half, going on a 22-8 run behind Grant and Davis in the second half.

    Tatiana Conceicao had 12 points and five rebounds for the Redhawks. Natalie Purcells 11 points.
