    Currie's 21 points, 15 boards leads Duke

    DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Monique Currie had 21 points and 15 rebounds to help Duke (No. 2 ESPN/USA Today, No. 1 AP) roll over Fairfield 110-44 on Tuesday night.

    Abby Waner made her first seven shots, including two 3-pointers, to score all 16 of her points in the first half as Duke built a 65-23 advantage.

    Mistie Williams and Carrem Gay each added 14 for Duke (3-0), Alison Bales 13 and Chante Black 12.

    Sabra Wrice had 15 points and Cara Murphy 10 to lead Fairfield (0-2).

    Duke scored 32 straight points in the first half to take control of the game. The Blue Devils missed eight of their first 10 shots, allowing Fairfield to take an 8-6 lead 4:36 into the game. Fairfield had 11 turnovers in its next 16 possessions and went 0-for-10 from the floor over the next 7:46 of play.

    The Blue Devils shot 57 percent from the field (44-for-77) and held the Stags to just 27 percent (16-for-59).

    Currie had her 20th double-double to help Duke score its most points since a 105-53 blowout of Northwestern State on Dec. 20, 2004.
