    Montana 57, Wright St 47

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Katie Edwards scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds Saturday to lead Montana to a 57-47 victory over Wright State in the first round of the Florida State Tournament.

    Montana (3-0) meets Florida State, a 75-67 winner over Western Carolina, in Sunday's championship game.

    Dana Conway had eight points, Johanna Closson had seven points, eight rebounds and three blocks and Tamara Guardipee had seven points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks for the Lady Griz. Montana held Wright State to just 26.8 percent shooting.

    The Raiders (1-2) led 1-0 on a free throw by Brittney Whiteside just 24 seconds into the game, but Edwards and Guardipee combined to score five straight points for Montana, which never trailed again.

    Montana led 20-10 with 5:23 left in the half and held a 26-20 halftime lead.

    Wright State got within 36-34 on a basket by Whitney Lewis with 9:05 remaining, but Montana answered with an 11-2 run, including six points from Closson, to take a 47-36 lead with 6:38 to play.

    Lewis led WSU with 13 points while Whiteside added 12 points, 11 rebounds and five steals.
