KALAMAZOO, Mich. (SportsTicker) -- Erin Lawless scored 16 points to lead a balanced attack as Purdue (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) posted an easy 98-65 victory over Western Michigan.
It was a rout from the outset as the Boilermakers (4-1) shot a blistering 71 percent (22-of-31) in the first half en route to a commanding 56-26 lead.Lawless was one of five players to score in double figures for Purdue, which shot 62 percent (38-of-61) overall and forced 24 turnovers.Cherelle George added 14 points and Danielle Campbell and Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton contributed 12 apiece for Purdue.Lindsey Brown scored 16 points to lead Western Michigan (0-4), which remained winless.
