ASU tops Western Kentucky in Wells Fargo title game

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Amy Denson scored 18 points to lead No. 15
Arizona State to a 78-64 victory over Western Kentucky on Saturday
night in the championship game of the Wells Fargo Holiday Classic.

Kristen Kovesdy added 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Sun
Devils (6-1), Emily Westerberg scored 12 points and Jill Noe and
Briann January had 11 each.

Tiffany Porter-Talbert led Western Kentucky (5-1) with 15
points, and Crystal Kelly scored 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting.

Western Kentucky closed within 58-52 with 5:39 left after a 10-4
run, but the Sun Devils pulled away again with a 6-0 spurt.

Holy Cross beat Memphis 91-66 in the consolation game.
