Arkansas 84, UMKC 57

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Whitney Jones had 21 points and ten
rebounds for a double-double to lead Arkansas to a 84-57 victory
over Missouri-Kansas City on Sunday.

UMKC shot 41.4 percent from the floor for the game. Arkansas
shot 52.2 percent and led by 11 at the half with a score of 39-28.
The Lady Razorbacks were able to capitalize on 22 Kangaroo
turnovers with 21 fast break points. The Kangaroos had just four
points off fast breaks.

Dominique Washington had 18 points for Arkansas and Kristin
People had 15. Both players came off the bench. Starter Rochelle
Vaughn had 12 points.

Stephanie Brown led UMKC with 18 points. Alysa Klein had 14
points and Sammi Knapic had 11.

Both teams were even in rebounds. The Kangaroos had 35 and
Arkansas had 36. But UMKC took 16 fouls and Arkansas had 11.
Arkansas had 13 second-chance points and UMKC had seven.
