HONOLULU (AP) -- Brittany Grice scored 16 points and grabbed nine
rebounds as Hawaii defeated Campbell 80-64 on Saturday night.
Janevia Taylor added 13 points and five assists for the Rainbow
Wahine (7-2) who defeated the Lady Camels (3-6) for the second
Hawaii, which jumped out to a 45-16 lead at halftime, outscored
Campbell in the paint 44-18. Tanya Smith had eight points and 10
rebounds for Hawaii.
Adrienne Rieley led the Lady Camels with 18 points and eight
rebounds. Marlena Murphy had 11 points and Tomika Tomlinson added
The Rainbow Wahine opened the game on a 13-2 run and the Lady
Camels didn't reach double figures until Maggie Rich hit a free
throw at the 2:48 mark.
Campbell struggled in every aspect of the game in the first half
hitting just 28 percent of its shots from the floor and 18 percent
of its free throws.
