    Cal State Fullerton 85, Montana State 84

    FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) -- India McDaniel hit a 3-pointer with 19 seconds left to lift Cal State Fullerton to an 85-84 victory over Montana State on Monday night.

    Montana State (0-9) had taken an 84-82 lead on a 3-pointer by Scotta Morton with 34 seconds left.

    The Bobcats had several shots in the final seconds, but none fell.

    Montana State led 47-39 at halftime and built as much as a 54-41 lead on a basket by Jenny Heringer with 17:17 remaining.

    The Bobcats held a seven- to nine-point lead until a three-point play and then a 3-pointer by Amber Pruitt, followed by a 3-pointer by Dayana Frias put Fullerton up 62-61 midway through the second half.

    No team led by more than three points the rest of the way.

    Pruitt led Fullerton (2-8) with 24 points and five rebounds, followed by Frias with 14 points. Charlee Underwood and Sandra Woloschuk each had 12 points.

    Nubia Garcia had 17 points to lead six Montana State players in double figures, followed by Morton with 15 points, Amanda DeHaan and Jenny Heringer with 14, Whitney Connolly with 13 and Alyssa Nelson with 11.

    Montana State outrebounded Fullerton 40-28 and made 25-of-29 free throws to 15-of-23 for Fullerton.
