RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Tasha Williams scored 21 points and Ty Moore
added 20 as Louisiana Tech snapped Mississippi's six-game winning
streak with an 84-71 victory Tuesday night.
Mississippi (9-2) was playing its first game since moving in The
Associated Press Top 25. Tech (6-3) rebounded from an 83-59
thrashing at the hands of No. 1 Tennessee.
Moore also grabbed 11 rebounds for Tech. Aarica Ray-Boyd added
17 points, Shan Moore had 12 and Tamika Kursh 11.
Armintie Price led Ole Miss with 21 points and Carle Bartee
Tech built a 15-3 lead early in the first half, but Mississippi
went on a 12-0 run to tie at 18 apiece. By halftime, Tech was up
Tech saw its biggest lead of the game when Kursh made two free
throws with 1:40 left to put the Lady Techsters up 78-63.
