Virginia Tech 69, Texas Tech 62

RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico (AP) -- Dawn Chriss scored 20 points and
Kirby Copeland added 19 to lead unbeaten Virginia Tech over Texas
Tech 69-62 in the Caribbean Classic on Tuesday.

Texas Tech never led but pulled within 44-43 with 10:22
remaining before Virginia Tech (10-0) went on a 13-4 run to put the
game out of reach.

The Lady Raiders (4-6) were coming off their first back-to-back
wins this season, against Louisville and Oral Roberts.

Megan Finnerty scored 11 points for the Hokies, while Kerri
Gardin added eight points and led Virginia Tech with 12 rebounds.

LaToya Davis led Tech with 16 points and 12 rebounds -- her sixth
double-double this season. Erin Grant added 15 points, and Erin
Myrick had 14.
