MIAMI (AP) -- The Arkansas Lady Razorbacks beat Coppin State 49-33 in the first round of the Florida International University Sun and Fun Invitational on Thursday.

The scoring total by Coppin State was the fourth lowest point total the Lady Razorbacks have allowed in their 30-year history.

Arkansas (8-4) got a jumper from Kristin Moore with 4:41 left in the game to end an almost four-minute scoring drought for Arkansas, and the shot gave back a double-digit lead to the Lady Razorbacks. Leslie Howard followed on the next possession with her first three-pointer of the game to put Arkansas up 45-31 with 3:47 to play.

The Lady Razorbacks held Coppin State to one field goal in the opening 10 minutes of the second half. Coppin State managed only 13 points in the second half.

"To hold them to only 13 points in the second half is impressive," Arkansas coach Susie Gardner said. "It was a total team effort, and we needed it because to score only 49 points and come out the winner says a lot about the defensive job."

Arkansas plays host Florida International on Friday night.
