LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- LaToya Davis scored 18 of her 27 points in the first half to lead Texas Tech past Fresno State 77-67 Thursday night.

Davis converted seven of nine shots before halftime to help the Lady Raiders (5-6) build a 37-29 lead. She was 10-of-12 from the field for the game.

Fresno State (7-4) battled back and eventually tied the game at 47 with 9:50 left on an inside basket by Brittani Green. But Tech never trailed.

Mirenda Swearengin led the Bulldogs with 19 points, and Amy Parrish had 17 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Fresno State was within a basket at the 6:16 mark, but Tech answered with a three-point play by Alesha Robertson and a pair of free throws by LaVonda Henderson for a 62-55 lead.

The Lady Raiders had their lead cut to three twice after that, but they converted eight of 10 free throws in the final 1:31.
