    Colonials beat No. 20 Temple in turnover-filled game

    WASHINGTON (AP) -- Freshman forward Jazmine Adair scored 11 points, and George Washington beat Temple 58-41 Wednesday night in a game in which both teams had more turnovers than field goals.

    Adair set career-highs with 11 rebounds and three blocks and helped limit Temple's Lady Comfort, who was shooting 70 percent for the season entering the game, to six points on 2-for-8 shooting.

    The game featured the only two remaining unbeaten teams in Atlantic 10 conference play, but George Washington (10-4, 3-0) committed 21 turnovers and made 20 field goals. Temple (10-4, 2-1) had 19 turnovers, 17 field goals and shot 23 percent.

    Kimberly Beck and Sarah-Jo Lawrence scored 10 points apiece for the Colonials, who have won four straight. Khadija Bowens led Temple (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No, 19 AP) with 11 points.

    The Owls lead 8-2 early, then scored only two points over the next 13:54. The Colonials' had first-half runs of 6-0 and 11-0 and took the lead for good at 12-10. They led 25-15 at halftime.

    The Owls cut the lead to six with 11:26 to go in the game, but Adair scored twice in a 10-0 run that put the Colonials back in control.
