Sacramento State 66, Montana State 57

BOZEMAN (AP) -- Lindsay Heard came off the bench to score 18
points and grab seven rebounds to lead Sacramento State to a 66-57
victory over Montana State on Thursday night.

Montana State (1-13, 0-2 Big Sky) took a 54-53 lead with 5:05
remaining on a jumper by Scotta Morton jumper, before Sacramento
State (6-9, 1-2) went on a 7-0 run to pull away.

Cindy Alldrin converted all eight of her free throws in the
final 3:30 to seal the win for the Hornets.

Whitney Connolly had a season high 19 points on 8-of-10
shooting. Morton and Jenny Heringer both had 10. Heringer also had
six rebounds, four assists two steals and a block.

Montana State built its largest lead of the game at 21-14 on a
layin by Connolly with 9:36 left in the first half. Sacrament State
rallied to tie the score at 32 at halftime.

In the second half, Sacramento State opened a 41-34 advantage at
the 14:50 mark on a 3-pointer by Lindsay Calmettes.

MSU fought back to take a 43-42 advantage on a jumper by Alyssa
Nelson with 11:59 left. The two team traded leads nine times until
the Hornets pulled away in the final five minutes.

Kim Sheehy added 11 points and Cindy Alldrin finished with 10
for Sacramento.
