Seljaas leads BYU past San Diego State

PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Nancy Seljaas scored 15 points to lead No. 23
BYU to a 64-39 win over San Diego State on Saturday.

Mallary Gillespie added 13 points for BYU (15-1, 5-0 Mountain
West), which missed its first nine field goal attempts.

Erin Jackson and Michelle Strawberry each scored 10 points for
San Diego (3-13, 0-6).

BYU went on a 15-2 run in the final 5 minutes of the first half
for a 33-18 halftime lead.

The Cougars pulled away with a 19-4 run in the final seven minutes.
Ambrosia Anderson had 12 points and Dani Kubik added 14 rebounds
for BYU.

Seljaas made three 3-pointers and had 14 points in only nine
minutes of first-half play. The 6-foot senior scored six straight
Cougar points on a free throw, a layup, and a 3-pointer to pull BYU
within 10-9.

With 7:45 left in the first half, the Cougars claimed their
first lead at 16-14 on a layup by Anderson.
